My name is Stu Campbell, and in my spare time I coach children’s rugby at Old Ruts Rugby Club in London.
I want this blog to be a collection of reflections: a way of thinking about my coaching experiences and ideas, as I learn more about teaching rugby.
Why a public blog and not a just a private diary? Good question. I was inspired by a book I read recently in which the author talks about the power of “open reflection”: how sharing your reflections publicly can help you to think more deeply about what you’re learning. Another reason to make this public is to enable collaboration. Hopefully someone out there will criticise my thinking, offer alternative viewpoints, or maybe even find some inspiration here. But perhaps that’s going too far!
I don’t know how often I’ll post – judging by past blogging attempts, my aims here are already overly optimistic – but at least the intent is there.
